About

Professional A320 pilot & aviation mentor.

The Pilot Guide was built by a working airline pilot who has walked the exact path you are starting — and knows how confusing it can feel from the outside.

The story behind The Pilot Guide

My name is Mohamed Namaji and I am a UK-based professional A320 pilot and aviation mentor with first-hand experience of the route into commercial aviation — the research, the applications, the assessments, the setbacks and the decisions that shape everything that follows.

Today I fly as a Senior First Officer for a major UK airline, holding a UK CAA ATPL and an A320 type rating. Getting there meant navigating flight school selection, funding, skills assessments and airline recruitment with very little reliable guidance available.

That gap is exactly why The Pilot Guide exists. Rather than generic advice found in forums and comment sections, I offer honest, personalised mentorship shaped around where you actually are — so you can make informed decisions, prepare properly and avoid the expensive mistakes that hold so many aspiring pilots back.

Whether you are still deciding if this career is right for you, choosing a flight school, preparing for assessments or working towards your first airline application, the goal is the same: greater clarity, confidence and direction on your journey to the flight deck.
